Restripe again? Seriously? We get it. Repainting your parking lot lines every so often probably seems tedious at best. But let’s take a step back and ask why those lines are so important and how they contribute to the success of your organization.
We can think of three ways that restriping impacts your business.
First, safety. Let’s face it—if the parking lot looks rundown, how comfortable do people feel about going inside? Your parking lot is your first opportunity to impress your customers. Having your parking spaces clearly mapped out establishes safety, directs traffic, and gives people a guided route to your front door. Clean parking lines also enhance the look of your parking lot and boost the curb appeal of your business.
Second, compliance. Believe it or not, there are governmental regulations specifically for your parking lot. The Americans with Disabilities Act requires multiple parking spaces for handicapped customers and for wider vans. Fire safety codes also require an established fire lane in case of an emergency. For the sake of all parties, you will want to keep these spaces obvious to whomever enters the parking lot. Keeping in line with governmental regulations will show your commitment to keeping your customers safe.
Third, service. As we said, the parking lot is the beginning of your customer’s onsite experience. If the parking lot is organized and well-laid out, customers will notice that you care about their safety and convenience. Even though this doesn’t seem groundbreaking, a lot without designated lines can make you look indifferent to the well-being of your visitors. This is not exactly your company’s best first impression.
All that to say—we understand. The parking lot may not seem that exciting, and the upkeep may seem bothersome. But keeping your parking lot organized and clear gives a courteous welcome to your customers and keeps people safe. InfraStripe has many resources that will help keep your parking lot welcoming and structured. We are proud to be a part of keeping your customers feeling invited and safe.
